2021 VEX ROBOTICS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Our 988A Team is the first team in Australia to ever win the VEX World Championship!
This team won first place in the VEX IQ World Competition.

2021 AUSTRALIAN AIR POWER TODAY - ARTICLE

'Australian Air Power Today' wrote an article about our 'Dream Rover' team; they are competing in the 2021 NASA Robot Programming Challenge. They commended our students for their passion in STEM, space industry and for competing against university-based teams from around the world.

The Head of the Australian Space Agency Enrico Palermo exclaimed, “A big congratulations to Dream Rover for their accomplishments as part of this year’s challenge. May this terrific achievement inspire many other Australian teams to participate in 2022.”

2021 PYMBLE LADIES' COLLEGE - FACEBOOK POST

The Pymble Ladies' College is a school for one of the former members in our 2021 VEX IQ World Champion team, 988A. This college made a Facebook post on their achievements in being able to be the first representatives of Australia to ever win this competition.

2021 THE SCOTS COLLEGE - FACEBOOK POST

The Scots College is a school for one of the members in our 'Dream Rover' team. This college made a Facebook post on their achievements in being able to represent Australia for the 2021 NASA Robot Programming Challenge.

2021 NASA ROBOT PROGRAMMING CHALLENGE

Our team 'Dream Rover' has won the title of Australia's Champion in the first round and will compete with 9 other countries in the finals. Majority of the competitors are represented by university-based teams, yet our team consists of primary to high school students. Their programmed final code will run in an international space station and compete with other teams in the world.

2021 OXFORD UNIVERSITY COMPUTING CHALLENGE (OUCC)

We had 20 of our students participate in the 2021 OUCC and 9 of them were invited to the finals. Only the top 20 in each state of Australia is given this opportunity. In the final round, we had 2 students win equal No.1 in the Yr7-8 junior division, despite being in Yr6. One student won No.1 in the Yr5-6 primary division and another placed No.5 in the Yr9-10 intermediate division. Also, several SRA students ranked from No.8-20 in Australia.

2021 TRANS-TASMAN ANZ VEX TOURNAMENT

Australia has never won the ANZ Tournament between Australia and New Zealand, until this year with our 988A Team. We are the first Australian representatives to ever win! The top 10 teams from 2 countries compete for VEX.

2021 VEX AUSTRALIA CHAMPIONSHIP

Two teams in our academy (988A and 858A) won Australia's 2021 VEX National Championship, and are Teamwork Champions. Team 988A also won an excellence award and Team 858A won the design award. Our other team 878A won the National Robot Skills Champion. Our 4 VEX IQ teams ranked top 4 in Australia for skills.

2021 VEX AUSTRALIA MENTOR OF THE YEAR

Our Director of SRA, Jarod Li, was awarded Australia's 2021 VEX Mentor of the Year. He highly appreciates the recognition from VEX, REC Foundation and SRA students and parents.

2021 VEX WORLD ONLINE CHALLENGE

Our 988A Team won the VEX IQ World Online Challenge. This allowed us to progress into the highest level VEX competition, which is VEX World.
